(VOVworld) – Recent aviation negotiations between the US and Cuba have focused on the resumption of US commercial flights to Cuba, beginning August 31.

Under their agreement, JetBlue will be the first US carrier to launch commercial airline service in the US for more than half a century. The flight will be scheduled for Santa Clara in central Cuba from Fort Lauderdale International Airport in Florida. JetBlue will be followed by Silver Airways and American Airlines
On July 7, the US granted 8 airliners the right to operate frequent commercial flights to Cuba.
