Speaking at the granting ceremony on Thursday, President Truong Tan Sang asserted that the Party and State has carried out effectively a number of poverty reduction programs.

He hailed the initiative “Cows for the poor at border areas” for helping people improve their living standards. Between June, 2014 and October, 2016, the program plans to give 36,000 cows to poor households in 11 northern border provinces.

The same day, President Truong Tan Sang visited and presented gifts to border guards of Thanh Loa Border Station, Cao Loc district, Lang Son province.
