COVID-19: Vietnam reports 26 imported cases

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam on Wednesday evening reported an  additional 26 COVID-19 cases, all returning from overseas, bringing the country’s tally to 1,252, said the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

All the new patients are Vietnamese citizens. They were all transferred to concentrated quarantine facilities in Ho Chi Minh city and Da Nang city as soon as their planes landed at airports in Vietnam. 

Vietnam has gone through 70 consecutive days without new locally transmitted coronavirus cases, but it has sporadically detected cases returning from epidemic hit countries.

As of 6pm on Wednesday, Vietnam has recorded a total of 1,252 coronavirus cases, including 1,087 recoveries and 35 deaths.
