COVID-19: Vietnam adds 5 more imported cases but remains community infection free for 82 days

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded 5 imported case of COVID-19 on Monday evening, bringing the total count to 1,312, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control. 

The new patients came from India, Romania, Japan, and South Korea and were quarantined upon arrival. Vietnam has gone 82 straight days free from community infections of coronavirus.

1,151 patients have recovered and 35 have died.

More than 8,000 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or returned from pandemic areas are under health monitoring nationwide.
