The capital city of Hanoi reported the highest number of new infections (1,748). It was followed by Vinh Long province (1,223) and Tay Ninh province (947).

The new infections brought the country’s total caseload to 1,746,092, including 20 Omicron variant cases.

1,358,276 patients have been declared free from coronavirus and 32,610 have died.

More than 152 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered across the country.
