In the past 24 hours, the US confirmed a record high number of new infections of nearly 130,000 people, bringing the total COVID-19 patients to more than 10 million, with 242,000 deaths.

Europe has confirmed 11.6 million COVID-19 infections with France, Italy, and Poland having the most newly-infected cases in the last 24 hours.

India has been Asia’s epidemic center with nearly 8.5 million COVID-19 infections and 50,000 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The epidemic continues to spread in South America, Africa, and Oceania, but with a slower rate.
