France, the US, the UK, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia have already evacuated embassy staff and their families, an operation made difficult by nearby fighting. The Netherlands, Italy and Germany are also evacuating their citizens.
According to the World Health Organization, the fighting that erupted in Sudan on April 15 has left 420 people dead and more than 3,700 injured.
