The Ministry of Health of Malta on Saturday announced the first case of SARS-CoV-2 in the country. The patient is a 12-year-old girl of Italian nationality.

On Saturday, the number of deaths from SARS-CoV-2 infection in Italy was 36, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 233. The number of new cases also increased sharply with 1,247 new cases recorded in only one day, bringing the total number of COVID-19 infections of Italy to 5,883 people.

Iran recorded 21 more deaths due to the virus on Saturday, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 145. Another Iranian MP has died from SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The Korean Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) on Sunday recorded an additional 367 cases of SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 7,134 cases.

The Bulgarian health authorities on Sunday confirmed two cases of the first SARS-CoV-2 virus infection. Both are Bulgarian citizens.
