(VOVworld) – French President Francois Hollande said global climate change talks in Paris moved into a new, tougher phase on Saturday as negotiators tried to agree on compromises, which will require huge effort by all parties. After their first week of negotiations, negotiators have agreed on a draft accord of 48 pages, less than the 70-page document initially proposed by France. The common goal is to keep the global temperature increase below 2 DC by 2100 but participants remained split on how to achieve that goal. A major difference was the amount to be spent to develop green energy sources in underdeveloped countries.
