(VOVworld)-Ho Chi Minh City’s Fatherland Front held a workshop on Tuesday to gather comments on amendments to the 1992 Constitution.

Delegates called for a law on social supervision and critic while enhancing the supervisory role by the fatherland front. They said the fatherland front’s right to nominate candidates for National Assembly deputies should be stipulated in the draft amendments. Chairman of the city’s business association, Huynh Van Minh:“Article 58 on land issues must clarify the asset rights and ownership of land shall be protected by law. This has to be made clear as they include the rights to use, own and hold as assets.”

Similar workshop opened in Ba Ria Vung Tau to gather opinions by religious dignitaries. They agreed on the need to amend the constitution in line with socio economic development. They said there should be additional articles facilitating religious organizations operating in line with the law as well as their humanitarian activities.
