Themed “Aspiration-Solidarity-Courage-Pioneering-Creativity”, the Congress reviewed the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Youth Union over the past 5 years and defined goals, tasks, and solutions for the Youth Union and youth movements until 2027.
The Congress report affirmed that over the past 5 years Vietnamese youth have comprehensively developed along with the nation’s development. The Party and State always put their faith in the younger generation and have adopted policies to educate, train, and promote the roles and responsibilities of Vietnam’s youth.
The Youth Union has proved its role and responsibility and made great contributions to the nation’s achievements. Talented young people have been discovered and honored, enhancing the image of Vietnamese youth in the new era.
The report sets out goals, tasks, and solutions for Youth Union work and movements for the 2022-2027 tenure, which support the higher goal of building a new generation of youths with revolutionary ideals, firm political convictions, patriotism, morality, a love of peace, knowledge, health, ambition, and aspirations.

Addressing the event, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong set the requirements for the Youth Union in the new context.
He said: “It’s necessary to enhance the education of the younger generation on revolutionary ideals, morals, lifestyle, patriotism, national pride, ambition, aspiration, and responsibility to the country and to society. We should create an environment and conditions for them to learn, develop, and master modern scientific and technological skills, and promote their role in the cause of national construction and development.”
The Party leader called on all Youth Union members and young Vietnamese at home and abroad to contribute more to national construction and development.
