On Monday, US President Barack Obama said the trade deal "reflects America's values” and gives American workers “a fair shot at the success they deserve."

The US Trade Representative (USTR) the same day issued a statement to express support for the TPP calling it a comprehensive and balanced agreement which will improve living conditions and reduce poverty.

New Zealand’s Trade Minister Tim Groser said the deal is important and will benefit generations of people in the participating countries.

Chilean Foreign Minister Heraldo Munoz said the TPP is a global trade deal exceeding what the Doha round of talks has done so far.

In addition to a better right to access goods, Chile can approach global trade values and government procurement.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper made a speech to reassure domestic industries about the agreement’s impacts insisting that the deal will have significant long-term benefits for the Canadian economy. Harper called it a “historic day for Canada” and promised the ruling party, the Conservatives, will speed up its implementation if he wins in the upcoming election. Liberal leader Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and the Canadian Council of Chief Executives all expressed support for the TPP.

Mexican Economic Minister Guajardo Villarreal noted that the TPP will open up new opportunities for his country, the second largest economy in Latin America.
