(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Standing Committee convened its 19^th session in Hanoi form July 10th to the 12^th. The deputies reviewed outcomes of the 5^th session of the 13^th National Assembly and discussed preparations for the year-end session. The deputies commented on 3 draft laws on tendering, practicing thrift and combating wastefulness and fire prevention and control, which will be submitted to the National Assembly for approval at its next session.

They also approved an Ordinance on amendments and supplements to the Ordinance on the management and use of weapons, explosives and auxiliary tools. The National Assembly Standing Committee discussed a draft resolution on the National Assembly agencies’ reception and settlement of citizens’ claims and petitions. It also approved amendments to the Resolution on the function, responsibility, authority and structure of the National Assembly Office and a Resolution on the establishment and naming of a number of agencies of the Supreme People’s Inspectorate.
