Santos said the government is losing its patience after FARC rebels killed 11 defenseless soldiers Wednesday. Speaking at the presidential palace, Santos said it’s time to end the war, calling on FARC members to listen to the national outcry. He added the government is running out of patience, saying that the two sides have to set a deadline for this process. He emphasized that the willingness for peace must be proven by facts and not just words. The president made the statement during a speech at the end of the welcoming ceremony for Republic of Korean President President Park Geun-hye, who began her official visit to Colombia on Friday.
