(VOVworld) – Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and the head of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) have signed a revised peace deal aimed at ending the 52-year-old civil war in Colombia.

President Santos said the agreement will open a new period of peace in Colombia and that this new accord is better than the one signed in September. He said Colombia’s democracy will be reinforced with the participation of FARC.
