Wang, Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met with Blinken on the sidelines of the ongoing 59th Munich Security Conference in Germany.

Wang urged the US to change course, acknowledge, and repair the damage that its excessive use of force caused to China-US relations.

On the same day, State Department spokesperson Ned Price said that Blinken was “very direct and candid throughout” at the meeting which took place for an hour in an undisclosed venue.
