Nanning Railway Logistics Center said that route accounts for 73% of all cargo trains to Vietnam and 86% of all containerized cargo exported by rail to Vietnam.
To meet the growing needs of cross-border trade between China and Vietnam, since 2025 the Chinese railway industry has raised the towing capacity of trains on the Pingxiang (Guangxi)-Dong Dang (Vietnam) route from 1,000 tons to 1,300 tons, and increased the customs clearance capacity of the Pingxiang railway border gate 30%.
The China-Vietnam intermodal railway line offers fast, reliable, low-cost service suitable for the export of LTL (less than a truckload) goods to the ASEAN market.
