The remarks were in response to a terrorist attack on October 6 in Sindh province, that left two Chinese nationals killed and one Chinese national wounded. 

The spokesperson said the Chinese Foreign Ministry and Embassy and Consulates General in Pakistan activated their emergency response mechanism right away. 

In a statement, the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan said Beijing will continue to support Islamabad’s counter-terrorism efforts and work together to prevent any attempts to undermine their relationship. The Embassy advised Chinese citizens and businesses in Pakistan to monitor the local security situation and increase their safety measures.
