Wang accused Indian troops of provoking border clashes on Monday. He called on India to carefully investigate the case to make sure no similar incident happens in the future.

Jaishanka said Chinese soldiers were “directly responsible” for the aggression.

Both leaders agreed to cool the situation down and work towards a solution based on bilateral agreements to secure border peace and security.
