China condemns US for threatening security, sovereignty of China, Russia

(VOVWORLD) - Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Monday that  this year the US and other Western countries have increased their interference in the internal affairs of China and Russia, threatened the sovereign security of the two countries, and impeded their economic and social development.

At the meeting with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation N.P. Patrushev in Beijing, Xi called on the two countries to continue making good use of the mechanisms of strategic security consultation and institutional cooperation in law enforcement and security to strengthen strategic security communication, enhance strategic mutual trust, safeguard their respective core interests and their common security, and maintain regional and global peace and stability.

Patrushev is visiting China for the 15th Round of Strategic Security Consultation and the 6th Meeting of Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation between China and Russia.
