Vietnam held a press conference on the second Vietnam-China Youth Festival on November 20th

(VOVworld) – The second Vietnam-China Youth Festival will take place from November 24-27 in Guangxi province, China. In an interview with VOV’s correspondent in Beijing, Wan Xuejun, Head of China’s International Communication Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, said preparations for the event has completed to welcome around 3,000 young Vietnamese. Wan said China has 5 ministries, departments, and localities to participate in the event, adding that Guangxi province, the host of the event, has formed an organizing board and had the active preparation for the event. In 7 cities of Guangxi province, the Vietnamese delegates will participate in a number of activities such as youth and education exchange, business surveys, and visit Vietnam-China cooperative projects. They will live with local people to increase mutual understanding: “This event will become a historical landmark of people-to-people exchange between the two countries. It also has an important significant for the two nations’ youth to uphold and promote the traditional friendship and deepen mutual understanding and cooperation as a firm foundation for Vietnam-China comprehensive cooperative relations."

Wan Xuejun expressed his hope that through this event, young people of the two countries will make more active contributions to the bilateral friendship.
