President of the Senate of Cambodia Samdech Say Chhum, and other senior members of the Royal family, and government of Cambodia were among the attendees. Vietnamese Ambassador Thach Du said the Vietnamese and Cambodian people stood side by side in their struggles for independence, national reunification, and freedom: “The two countries have regularly exchanged high-level delegations, the latest being the visit to Vietnam by Prime Minister Hun Sen last December and the visit to Cambodia by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in April. During these visits, the two sides affirmed their determination to foster the time-honored friendship and cooperation between the two countries”.

Senate President Samdech Say Chhum said Vietnam and Cambodia will continue to promote friendship and cooperation as neighbors and fellow members of ASEAN.
