(VOVworld) -  Carnival Ha Long 2013 themed “Quang Ninh-Convergence and Pervasion” will open Saturday night in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province. The Organizing Board said about 20,000 tourists visit Ha Long Bay each day. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Organizing Board, says: “Preparations for the big event are completed. Everything is ready from format, content, protocol, and logistics to security and safety for visitors. A careful rehearsal took place yesterday. We are pleased to say that the carnival will be safe, impressive and attractive”.

The total number of visitors to Quang Ninh so far this year reached 4 million, an increase of 17% against same period last year. Of the figure, there were 1 million foreigners, an increase of 6%.
