(VOVWorld) – A ceremony was held in Hanoi on Sunday night to review a campaign to collect and popularize People Police Force’s historical items. The event marks the 71st anniversary of the August Revolution and Independence Day on September 2nd. Since the campaign was launched 3 years ago, 300 organizations and 500 individuals have been participating. 5,200 historical items and souvenirs have been collected. 3,800 documents and 200 selected souvenirs will be displayed at the People’s Police Force museum.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Muoi, Deputy Head of the People Police Force’s General Department of Politics and head of the campaign’s organizing board, said: “The campaign’s results show the sentiments and responsibility of the People’s Police Force for their task of national protection. We hope that through this campaign, the force will continue to receive support from the Party, State, ministries, collectives and individuals so as to promote our historical heritages.”
At the ceremony, 19 organizations and individuals have been awarded with insignias for their contributions to preserving historical items of the People’s Police Force.
