Cambodia’s PM pushes implementation of ASEAN’s Five Point Consensus in Myanmar

(VOVWORLD) - Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen and Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar on Monday held an online call to discuss ways to expedite the implementation of ASEAN’s Five Point Consensus.

Prime Minister Hun Sen reiterated the importance of access for ASEAN’s Special Envoy to meet all parties concerned in Myanmar, including Aung San Suu Kyi and former President Win Myint.

He stressed the importance to avoid excessive use of force in maintaining law and order.

He also encouraged Naypyitaw to further facilitate effective and timely delivery of humanitarian assistance in conflicted areas in Myanmar.
