Bulgarian Ambassador Pavlin Todorov said the 5-day visit, which takes place ahead of the 75th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations next year, demonstrates Bulgaria’s commitment to improving traditional friendship with Vietnam.

Ambassador Todorov insisted that Bulgaria attaches great importance to high-level political dialogue with Vietnam, considering it a means to promote bilateral cooperation.

President Radev is scheduled to meet Vietnam’s key leaders, including President Luong Cuong, Party General Secretary To Lam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The Bulgarian leader is set to deliver a speech at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, participate in a business forum, meet the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association and representatives of some Vietnamese companies, and visit Hai Phong city and several other localities.

A number of bilateral agreements are expected to be signed during the visit, including a joint statement and cooperation deals in education, investment, and trade.
