(VOVworld)- A 4-year fight over the US Federal budget was suspended on Thursday when the US Senate approved a 2014 budget bill. Many government functions suffered a 16-day shutdown last October because of a disagreement over the budget deficit. The 2014 budget bill was the result of negotiations between the Republican Party, which holds a majority in the US House of Representatives, and the Democratic party, which controls the US Senate. This budget includes funding for the Obamacare plan which has been furiously opposed by the Republicans.
