He told the BBC that the UK government is gathering proposals that might satisfy the EU’s demands. He said it’s too soon to insist on the necessity of a delay. If the UK and the EU end up approving a deal just before March 29th, then London might need some extra time to pass critical legislation. But if they are able to make progress sooner, that might not be necessary, Hunt said.
A spokesperson for the Prime Minister said Parliament's February break has been cancelled in the interest of avoiding a delay.
