Barnier said that working groups of officials would try to make progress on the issues of citizens’ rights, the UK’s financial settlement, and other Brexit issues. The talks will be held once a month until October 9, and trade talks will not begin until October. Both Barnier and Davis will lead efforts to resolve the problem of the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
