At a press conference held on Wednesday, Le Quoc Minh, editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and member of the organizers, said that the concert "Bond Live In Vietnam" marked the second event of the Good Morning Vietnam series arranged by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with IB Group, with the ultimate aim of promoting Vietnamese tourism.
"The success of last year’s Kenny G Live In Vietnam concert laid the groundwork for this year’s Bond performance," Minh said. "We are confident that this event will be equally well-received by music lovers across the country."
Bond is an Australian/British string quartet which specializes in classical crossover and synth-pop music. The quartet has sold a total of five million albums.
The quartet were originally founded in 2000 and now consists of four members, including Tania Davis on the violin, Eos Counsell on the violin, Elspeth Hanson on the viola, and Gay-Yee Westerhoff on the cello.
“Bond Live in Vietnam” concert is scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. on October 5 at the My Dinh National Convention Center.
