The movie will represent Vietnam to compete in the pre-qualification round of the Best International Film category at next year's Oscars.
“Dad, I'm sorry” is the most outstanding movie of Vietnam released this year. The first film co-written, directed and starred by artist Tran Thanh has set a revenue record of more than 440 billion VND (19 million USD).
Bo Gia portrays the life of an elderly xe om (motorbike taxi) driver living in Ho Chi Minh City who faces challenges in earning money for his wife and two teenage children.
