Addressing a press conference, Hishammuddin said the autonomous underwater vehicle Bluefin-21 is scheduled to finish scanning the underwater search zone next week to cover areas where pings believed to be  from the flight’s black boxes, have been detected. But the search work will be continued. Relevant agencies are considering a new way of approach in which the search zone will be expanded and other kinds of equipment will be used. Currently, 11 military aircraft and 12 ships are participating in the search, covering 50,200 square kilometers across three areas of the south Indian Ocean.
