The aid includes 665 million USD in new military and civilian security assistance, said Blinken at a joint press conference in Kiev on Thursday with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

Blinken said that the US is working with Ukraine to find and use alternative routes for its grain supplies after the Black Sea Grains Initiative expired in July. Kuleba thanked the United States and other partners for supporting Ukraine.

This is Blinken’s fourth trip as Secretary of State to Ukraine since February 2022, when the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out.

Earlier, Blinken met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, reaffirming the US's support for Ukraine and efforts to "maximize" this support.

To date, the US has provided Ukraine with more than 40 billion USD in security assistance, including weapons support.
