The list was unveiled on Thursday by the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) in New York.

This is the third consecutive year that Binh Duong has received such recognition. It is also the only locality in Vietnam named in the Smart21.

“Binh Duong smart zone” has become a commonly used technical term as part of the approved Binh Duong Smart Zone project. The zone is comprised of a number of rapidly developing localities in the province.

Of the 2021 list, zones from nine countries were honoured, including those in the US, Russia, Australia, Canada, Brazil, the UK, New Zealand, and Vietnam.

180 members from different countries, territories, cities and regions are participating in the ICF.
