Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, who is on a working visit to Australia, witnessed the signing. Vice President of Bamboo Airways Dang Tat Thang said: “Bamboo Airways wants to expand to Australia because Vietnam and Australia have a strategic partnership and the Vietnamese community in Australia now numbers nearly half a million. But there are only a few direct routes between the two countries. Australia is a potential market.”
Under the MoU, Melbourne International Airport will give Bamboo Airways preferential treatment for ground services, opening an office, and launching promotion activities.
