The airline aims to open a regular direct flight between Vietnam and Italy from the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023 and launch a supplementary market for direct flights connecting Vietnam with Germany and the UK, said Chairman of FLC Group and Bamboo Airways Trinh Van Quyet. 

During a working session with Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Antonio Alessandro in Hanoi on Monday, Mr. Quyet said that Bamboo Airways would open a representative office in Italy and select an agent in the Italian market. Besides, Bamboo Airways also strives to negotiate and collaborate with Italian partners to expand domestic flight networks in Italy and Europe, in the form of code-sharing, he said.

The Italian Ambassador expressed his hope that a direct route between Vietnam and Italy would soon be opened to expand bilateral trade opportunities.
