Azerbaijan said Armenia killed 21 people and wounded 70 in a missile strike on Barda in northeastern Nagorno-Karabakh on Wednesday.

Armenian separatists said Azerbaijan hit the Karabakh town of Shusha with rockets on Wednesday, killing one civilian, and a maternity hospital in the region's main city Stepanakert. No casualties have been reported.

Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN Secretary General, has called on parties to immediately implement the humanitarian ceasefire that they have committed to and fully abide by their obligations to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure. He said rocket and missile fire every day has affected people’s lives and the ongoing hostilities are unacceptable and must stop immediately.
