Local officials, victims of hate crimes, and people from various ethnic communities participated in the event.

They protested violence against Asian Americans, and appealed to the US government to take action and make April 4 “Stop Hate Day” in the United States.

A couple of anti-Asian crimes were reported in New York last week despite continuous denouncement of such hate and violence.
