The Vietnamese delegation, led by Chief of the Economic Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Van Nghiem, will share their experiences in running the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies – a State-run model for providing financial assistance to the underprivileged- and in establishing development funds.

Discussions are expected to center on finding financial resources for poverty reduction efforts, mainly from the State budget and micro-financing provided by private philanthropists.

Participating in the event are representatives from the 10 ASEAN countries and China and a number of regional and global organizations. The forum will conclude on Thursday.
