(VOVworld) - ASEAN and the Pacific Alliance (a Latin American group comprising Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru) met at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta early this week to boost cooperation between the two organizations.

They exchanged views on current developments in Southeast Asia and Latin America and recognized the potential benefit of cooperation in trade and investment, agriculture, energy, logistics, small and medium-sized enterprises, financial services, and tourism.

The Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN and the Ambassadors of the Pacific Alliance also shared opinions on the structure and work process of the two organizations.
