Meeting with the Chairman of the State Administration Council, General Min Aung Hlaing, and other senior officials, the AMM President and ASEAN Secretary General welcomed Myanmar's new commitment to maintaining open and effective channels of communication.

The AMM President conveyed to Myanmar the nomination proposed by ASEAN members for the post of Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair for Myanmar, and called for the release of all political prisoners, who include women, children, and foreigners.

The ASEAN Secretary General mentioned the possibility of providing humanitarian assistance to Myanmar.
