(VOVworld) – The second ASEAN-China industry and trade conference was held on Monday on the sidelines of the ongoing 13th ASEAN-China Expo in Nanning city in China’s Guangxi Province.

Themed “Protecting and developing trademarks”, the event attracted government officials, scholars, and business representatives from ASEAN and the host country.

Participants discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation in trademarking intellectual property.

Liu Junchen, Deputy Director of the Chinese State Administration of Industry and Commerce, said China and most ASEAN countries need to strengthen trademark protection, exchanges, and cooperation, for the healthy development of their economies.

Officials from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar highlighted collaboration between China and ASEAN in industry and trade, towards strengthening trust and a determination to reinforce regional economic and trade ties.
