Observer team comprises of defense attachés and representatives from seven ASEAN member states – Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam, Cambodian Defense Ministry spokesperson Maly Socheata told a press conference on Sunday.

During the two-week mission, the group will observe full implementation of all provisions of the ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand. Their mission aims to contribute to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region during the sensitive time following the Cambodia-Thailand tensions in late July.
