The app NKT will enable people to enter data about their disability, print a disability certificate, request government assistance, and communicate any needs they might have to the relevant agencies. Information in the database will be kept confidential.
The project partners are the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the Vietnam National Mine Action Center (VNMAC) with support from the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).
It is estimated that more than 6 million persons (7% of the population) in Vietnam are living with a disability.
