(VOVworld) – Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Wednesday was awarded the Order of Solidarity from the Organization of Solidarity with the People of Asia, Africa and Latin America (OSPAAAL) for his role in protecting Third World nations and global decolonialization.

The organization said it recognized President Bouteflika for his great contribution to the fight against colonial rule in Algeria, and his role in strengthening unity among Third World nations, particularly in the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries and the G77. According to OSPAAAL, Algeria has played an active role in promoting peace, development, and cultural and religious dialogue globally.
