The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said Vietnam spent 19.6 billion USD on importing agro-forestry and fishery products, up 51 percent year-on-year, resulting in a trade surplus of 3.27 billion USD.
Top selling products include rubber, tea, rice, vegetable, pepper, cashew nut, cassava and cassava products, tra fish, shrimp, wood, rattan and bamboo, and cinnamon.
The US, China, Japan, and South Korea remain Vietnam’s biggest agro-forestry and fishery importers.
