Afghanistan declares day of mourning after Taliban attack

 (VOVworld) - The Afghan government declared Sunday a national day of mourning for 100 army personnel who were killed or injured in a massive Taliban attack at an army camp in Balkh province last Friday. Special prayers will be held in the Presidential Palace mosque and at mosques across the country and the national flag will fly at half mast in Afghanistan and at Afghan diplomatic missions abroad. President Ashraf Ghani chaired an emergency security meeting, ordering a full investigation of the deadly attack.
