(VOVworld) - Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) on Sunday regained control of 60% of Kunduz City from Taliban militants. The Afghan Public Order Police Force said that the ANSF cleared major parts of the city overnight, killing or wounding dozens of militants. A huge quantity of arms and ammunitions were found and confiscated, and army engineers defused hundreds of roadside bombs and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). More than 500 Taliban militants have been killed since the operations begun 10 days ago.
