On the highlight will be a conference on connecting trade which is expected to draw 20 embassies and many other organizations and businesses. Chau Cong Bang, deputy director of Ca Mau’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said the conference will be an opportunity for the province to introduce its advantages, particularly the local shrimp industry.
“Ca Mau authorities are seeking investment opportunities to foster the local shrimp industry. Shrimp and other export products will be displayed at upcoming events,” he said
Ca Mau is one of several Mekong Delta provinces with large prawn farming areas. The province has favorable natural conditions for aquaculture. It now has 45,000 ha of shrimp rice farming and 30,000 ha of shrimp forest farming.
