The meeting honored role models in building “Drug-free Border Communes”. Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, and the leaders of ministries, sectors, and 9 provinces bordering Laos.

Deputy PM Long asked ministries, sectors, and localities to continue to take a lead role in preventing and combating drug use and effectively implementing the 2021 Law on Drug Prevention and Control.

Communication activities on drug use prevention and control should have diverse content and formats and focus on key and complex drug-related areas, vulnerable groups, especially young people, students, and workers to improve social resistance against the dangers of drug use.
